2010 NFL Draft Review

April 26, 2010

This years draft was odd with Clausen in the 2nd round to Tebow in the first round.

But, there were a lot of players that will really help rebuild or be a key part to their teams championship run.

Here are a list of awards and reasons why:

Best Team Draft: Baltimore Ravens

The ravens got what they needed Sergio Kindle, “Mount” Cody, and I really like the Ed Dickson pick because he’s got the body of a tight end, but he hands of a reciever.

Worst Team Draft: Jacksonville Jaguars

I didn’t like Tyson Alualu and the rest of their draft the players come from non-BCS teams like Central Arkansas, which means they haven’t played tough competition.

Best pick at each round (reasons mostly because of talent or ability to impact team):

1st round: Ndamukong Suh (Detroit Lions)

2nd round: Javier Arenas (Kansas City Cheifs)

3rd round: Colt McCoy (Cleveland Browns)

4th round: Joe McKnight (New York Jets)

5th round: Art Jones (Baltimore Ravens)

6th round: Myron Rolle (Tennessee Titans)

7th round: Cody Grimm (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Biggest reach: Tyson Alualu and Tim Tebow

Great pick: Earl Thomas (Seattle Seahawks)

Random fact: Jared Veldheer (Oakland Raiders 3rd round pick 69) went to Hillsdale College, which has an enrollment of 1,300 students, which is smaller than his High School. Also, he is the first NFL player out of Hillsdale.

Leavee comments if you agree or disagree with my awards.

Cool IU Football Jerseys

April 17, 2010

IU football has a nice new uniform to go with their sub-par last season.

Being a student at Indiana University, I like the new uniforms and didn’t like the old traditional uniforms.

I think IU is an example of futuristic uniforms and other Universities will follow by getting new and better looking uniforms for the 2010 season.

Plus, there are special perks with the new material.

Here is more information on uniform that should give these Hoosiers some swagga:

Jerseys: To be made of stretch Cordura® material. Embracing tradition in the 2010 uniform design, the “Hoosiers” name will remain on the front of the jersey. The plain block narrow font numbers on the front and back originated from the 1967 era jersey. Stripes will be on jersey shoulder instead of on the pant, to differentiate Indiana from other collegiate football teams. The jerseys will have color block design created by adidas sport marketing and IU.

Pants: Will have adidas TECHFITTM PowerWeb technology incorporated into the pants. PowerWeb is designed to focus a muscle’s energy to generate maximum explosive power, acceleration and endurance, while compressing and cooling simultaneously with Clima zones. The pant will have a color block design created by adidas sports marketing and IU.

The weight of the uniform is 40% lighter compared to previous pants and jerseys.
